The free planner and checklist
Is the budget planner free?+
Yes. The funeral budget planner and the step-by-step checklist are free to use now.
Do I need an account?+
No. You can start straight away. Your draft stays in this browser on this device unless you choose to save it.
Why would I create an account?+
A free account lets you save your budget and checklist, come back to them later on any device, and invite family by email to view and edit together.
Can I share my budget with family?+
Yes. Once you've saved your budget, you can invite people by email. When they sign in with that email, they can see and edit the same budget.
Costs, quotes and estimates
What do Estimate, Quote, Confirmed and Paid mean?+
They show how certain each cost is: an estimate is your best guess, a quote is a figure a provider has given you, confirmed means it's agreed, and paid means it's settled.
Are the example figures accurate for my area?+
They're illustrations only. Costs vary a lot by area and provider. A written quote from your funeral director always takes precedence.
Is this a prepaid funeral plan?+
No. Lumaspace helps you plan and keep track of costs. It isn't a prepaid funeral plan and doesn't take payments for a funeral.
Keeping a copy
What's the difference between the PDF and the backup?+
The PDF is a printable snapshot to keep or share. The backup is a file you can open back into the planner to keep editing. A PDF can't be opened back into the planner.
